Patriots Take KCAA For Sixth Consecutive Year

The Christ Prep Patriot golf team shot a combined 332 today at Heritage Park Golf Course in Olathe, Kansas en route to its sixth consecutive Kansas Christian Athletic Association Championship. Besides winning team honors, CPA won five of the ten individual medals awarded at the meet.

The Patriots were led by junior Nolan Becerra's 9-over-par 80, which was good enough for second place, just one shot shy of Cornerstone's Josiah Packard who was the overall winner with a 79. Senior Timothy Finley shot an 81 and came in third, while sophomore Sawyer Massing was tied for fourth with an 85. Junior Garrett Routh's 86 was good enough for sixth place, while sophomore Phoebe Finley's 98 got her the tenth place medal.

The top four Patriots contributed the total of 332 which was a comfortable 40 strokes ahead of 2nd place Cornerstone's 372. Sunrise Christian Academy of Wichita was third with a 389. Veritas of Lawrence and Cair Paravel of Topeka also competed in the Championship, contested across the extremely wet, par 71, 6,372 yard Heritage Park links.
