Patriots Place Second at William Jewell Invitational

The Christ Prep Patriots placed 2nd among  10 teams at the William Jewell Invitational today in Liberty, Mo. CPA shot a team score of 341 on the par 72 Cardinal Hill (formerly Claycrest) Golf Club layout.

First place honors went to the Kearney "Gold" team, led by junior phenom Ryan Zech. Kearney shot a combined 311 while Zech took individual medalist honors, firing a 3-under-par 69 on the 6,500 yard Cardinal Hill course. St. Pius X took third with a 351.

CPA was led once again by the brothers Johnson. Sophomore Joey Johnson shot a 74, which was good for second place. Junior Adam Johnson tied for third with a 79.

In a few short hours the Patriots will tee off in a shotgun start at the 21 Team Osawatomie Invitational in Osawatomie, Ks.
