Patriot JV Teams Scorch Eagle Bend

The Christ Prep Patriots took a couple of teams this past Monday to the Veritas JV meet at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kans. The teams once again accomplished what's become somewhat commonplace for the Patriots--they finished 1-2 in the competition.  In fact, out of 18 team and individual medals handed out at the awards ceremony, CPA golfers brought home 17.

CPA "Blue," consisting of (at left) Judah Brown, Jacob Bishoff, Phoebe Finley, Drew Langston, Sam Aldrich, and Garrett Routh combined for a low team total of 191 on the Eagle Bend front side. That mark was good enough for first place honors.

Team "Red," shown below and consisting of Nelson Searcy, Sierra Massing, Sawyer Massing, Jordan Uebelein, Eric Fixler, and Brett Mellen, carded at total of 223 which put them solidly in second place. Teams from Veritas, Bishop Seabury, Central Heights, Flint Hills Christian, and Cair Paravel rounded out the field.

In addition to the excellent team showing, freshman Garrett Routh brought home medalist honors with a solid round of 40. Patriot Drew Langston was 3rd with a 48 while teammates Nelson Searcy, Jacob Bishoff, and Sawyer Massing found themselves in 4th, 5th, and 6th places, respectively, with scores of 49, 50, and 51.

Stay tuned for reports from the varsity's Tuesday win at the St. Mary's dual held at Winterstone in Independence.
