Patriots Tie School Record 309, Adam Johnson Shoots 70 at Veritas

Another day. Another golf course. Another tournament. And another 70--from another Johnson. This time it was Adam Johnson's turn to quietly stroll from hole to hole at the Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kans. on his way to a tournament championship and first place with a 2-under-par 70. Brother Joey was not far behind, shooting 1-over 73, good enough for third place. Teammate Logan Routh completed his round with an impressive 77 which placed him firmly in 5th Place. Throw in scores from Nolan Becerra, Phoebe Finley and Sierra Massing and the Patriot "Blue Team" tied a school record and won the Veritas Invitational with a total team score of 309.

The Patriot "Red Team" placed third behind Veritas (2nd). CPA Red was led by Jacob Bronars' 83 which gave him sixth place at the meet. Teammates Garrett Routh, Darren Wallace, Jacob Bishoff, Sawyer Massing and Judah Brown contributed to the Red team as it totalled a 395.

Check out a couple photos of the Blue Team and the combined teams enjoying their awards at Veritas.
